(More customer reviews)We purchased the single hole and purchased a VIGO faucet. Everyone that has come into our new kitchen always comment FIRST about the sink. It really is beautiful. The low profile along with the nice 90 degree cornering gives it the real pop and makes the purchase superior to anything you could purchase at the large home improvement centers. One very important note: it is 16-gauge versus 18-gauge so it is a higher end stainless sink and stronger. No "popping" sounds when you fill it with warm water as you experience with lower quality sinks. We have a chocolate laminate counter top and it is truly eye catching.

(More customer reviews)Our water has some pretty intense chlorine--the filtration plant says it's 1ppm, which I suppose is average for city water supplies but it doesn't make for a pleasant drinking/showering/bathing experience. We've run whole house carbon filters for years but they wear out really quickly and we don't always get around to replacing them on time. I bought the bath ball for an 80 gallon bathtub that's used on a daily basis in the winter--it's sort of a stand-in for a hot tub and our family is super addicted to it! I really needed something to reduce the chlorine for our baths, but there are few options. The only problem with this product, aside from high cost, is that a lot of people complain it doesn't hang from their faucet without major jury-rigging. My faucet actually looks a lot like the one pictured, it slopes downward with a flange or flare at the bottom, so I figured it would work. I was right! I have to slow down the water flow a little when I'm filling the tub so that the water doesn't spill over the sides of the filter, but it's well worth it. It works like a charm to neutralize the chlorine. The manufacturer states that the filter will last for 26,000 gallons, but that depends on how much chlorine is actually in your water. Even if it turns out that I have to replace the filter several times a year, it's worth it to me for better water quality and healthier baths! Another bonus is that every component of the filter is recyclable.

(More customer reviews)We remodeled our townhouse and bought two of the Avalon faucets in nickel for the two baths. The first faucet had several flaws. First, the hot water knob scraps against the base ring when you turn it on. Meanwhile the cold water knob has a noticeable gap between the bottom and the base ring. I'd say 1mm on the hot side and 3mm on the cold side. You notice it as soon as you can see the sink.
We called the customer service line to learn there is no way to adjust the inner body to fix the problem. They did offer to send two new bodies, but it's a pain to reinstall because there's no way to know whether the new ones will be better aligned. Second problem with the faucet is at the spout. Each time I turn it on, there's a stray stream of water, sometimes it's spits out bits of water towards the left, sometimes there's a small stream to the right. I will soak the aerator in a vinegar solution to see if it fixes the problem. Otherwise, Price Pfister offered to send me another aerator.
The strange thing is that the second faucet we installed seems perfectly fine. The knobs and base rings align fine and the water streams out like any other faucet. I like the finish and the height of the faucet head over the sink. It looks great with our new granite counters.
It's peculiar that in the same order we could have a normal faucet and one with so many different issues. At least I've been satisfied with the manufacturer's response to my complaints. My plumber says this brand is okay but not the best. He truly believe you get what you pay for when it comes to faucets.

(More customer reviews)This sink can be undermounted or overmounted on your bathroom counter. I chose to overmount it because I didn't want to hide the beautiful lines of the sink and the seasalt finish. It is very striking on top of the counter. However, because of the shallowness and the slope of the sink, a regular faucet that only extends out 5 or 6 inches will hit the surface at an angle that makes it impossible to wash your hands without splashing water all over the backsplash. In most sinks that drop straight down on the sides, it is no problem. To solve the problem, I had to ditch the $250 faucet I originally installed and order a roman tub faucet with a reach of 9 inches so that the water would come out directly over the drain hole. It worked beautifully and I am happy now, but if Kohler had included any kind of warning about the faucet choice, I would have saved the $250 I spent on the original faucet. If the sink is undermounted, this may not be so much of a problem. There may be other faucets that will work as well, i.e., one for a vessel sink that is higher and extends out further. Just be aware that a normal faucet with only a 6 inch spout will not allow the water to hit over the drain and you will be cleaning up water from the backsplash. The sink is really beautiful and I'm glad we figured out a way that I wouldn't dread to use it.

(More customer reviews)Unlike a previous reviewer, I have not ecountered problems with my handleset - installation was fairly easy (although somehow I missed the critical bottom bolt/attachment initially, but didn't really notice it as the handle worked fine...until I found the bottom portion of the handle was "moving" - an easy fix - and avoidable had I taken the time to read the installation instructions - which I generally skim).
Regardless, I've had this handleset on my entry door for about 3 years - the exterior portion of the handleset is routinely exposed to brutal Sacramento summer heat/direct sun and a bit of rain - nary a flake to be found on the finish and overall, the quality remains as if it were new. So pleased I have been with this particular model/version, I am here to order another set for my backyard entry/exit door which is exposed to more wet weather and the front door, but given the how well the front set has held up, I'm not concerned.
I've paired this set with the Schlage keypad deadbolt (post locking myself out of the house one too many times) and am planning the same set-up for the door to the backyard (I've converted the garage and kitchen doors to the Schlage keypad, from the standard "key required" deadbolt - the latter of which works fine, but for a "where are my keys?" challenge person - like me, the conversion has been worthwhile).
The Camelot handleset combined with the keypad makes for a professional and "quality" entrance - IMHO that is :) No regrets here, perhaps the other reviewer received a "lemon"?
