(More customer reviews)There is one spray pattern, no massage, and it is not as comfortable as the $12 unit it replaced, which had multiple patterns. But, there are very few hand held showers with pause controls, and sometimes that is very important.
We purchased it to bathe our several dogs because shower heads always land spray-side-up. That trickle valve really helps when you are wrestling a 100 pound wet dog and need to turn off the water easily.
The 5 ft hose is not long enough for dogs down in the tub so I used the 6 ft hose from the previous shower head.
The pause control is useful for people, too. I wish more hand helds had this simple feature.
