I had an easy time replacing the cartridge to the Moen faucet in my downstairs bathroom so I thought this would also be easy--nope. Buying the cartridge was easy, finding the "special tool" was fruitless unless I want to wait to order it online. Nevermind buying this special tool--my faucet has a plastic retainer nut, which is what the tool would have been used to remove--it is so stuck the tool wouldn't have done a thing--imagine using metal to remove a stuck piece of plastic. So, right now the retainer nut is stripped and mangled because I had to beat the crap out of it and I'm wondering if in my efforts to fix the thing I'll be buying a new faucet.

(More customer reviews)This faucet actually had a better drain than the a matching faucet purchased at a local home supply store. The Amazon kit had a drain made out of metal vs. the one from the store which was made out of plastic. I had a handyman install it because I didn't have the tools needed to attach the drain pipe. It took just a little over an hour. Once installed, it turned out to be beautiful and functional, perfectly matching the other Kohler appliances in the house. It will pick up calcium deposits from hard water and toothpaste splash, but it's very easy to clean with mild soap or a very small dab of calcium/lime remover. Highly recommended.

I ordered this faucet and the matching shower faucet/showerhead and the cute white old fashioned button is actually white plastic. sending back asap. hope i can find a replacement before the plumber arrives to install. this product should at least state that it's plastic, so that the buyer doesn't waste return shipping money or their time. very disappointed.

(More customer reviews)We were hesitant to buy the three piece faucet set as obviously, it is a little more complex to install than the one piece type. However, the bathroom remodeler suggested it and it is a huge improvement when it comes to daily cleaning. There is no chrome between the handles and faucet to get corroded and need polishing.
We also love the levers instead of turn knobs, as they are much easier on arthritic hands/wrists. Very happy with this purchase.

(More customer reviews)I have always had faucets installed professionally by plumbers... they *always* recommend Moen as a brand... for me, it is only the Moen brand faucets that last years without any need for repairs. This is a *TRIM KIT*... Many different plumbing manufacturers will make their items as two separate pieces, one piece is the trim kit and another piece is the valve or rough in valve. Some manufacturers may even sell the handle seperate. The trim kit is the finished piece that is mounted on top of the sink (faucet) or on the wall (shower kit).
