First of all, I love the product as it has helped with my grandchildren to know when the water is becoming hot when they are using our powder room sink. But...in only a few short weeks the "brushed chrome" is peeling off little by little with no one really touching it. I don't know what would make this happen...so I question that. As the previous reviewer mentioned, the water pressure is lower than most shower heads, even after I removed the flow regulator. There is still enough pressure to comfortably rinse my hair. Also, about 2 1/2 months into use all of the lights dimmed considerably - but a few weeks later, they intensified again, and have remained bright. Perhaps there was some variability with the water pressure in my house.
The shower light really is powered by the water flow, so I haven't had to worry about replacing batteries. The blue light is bright enough to shower with the lights off, and the red light is dimmer (but still looks cool). I have noticed that the light stays blue even with fairly warm water - it will not turn red until the shower is HOT. Interestingly, when the water temperature is borderline, both red and blue LEDs are lit, creating a neat purple effect.
Highly recommended for blue led lovers!

(More customer reviews)This faucet light provides a blue glow to running water. In the dark it glows a fantastic, gorgeous blue that fills the sink with shimmering colors. It was very easy to install and worked for me immediately.
Unfortunately, the ad shows a stream of focused deep blue water that isn't quite accurate. In daylight or when the bathroom lights are on (aka: most of the time), the water has just specks of a dim pale blue scattered throughout the stream. The blue is more focused at the top, not evenly all the way down. Also unfortunately, the cheap-looking plastic rim of the adapter detracts from the overall effect. The faucet adapter is also an awkward length of over 2" long, which can pose problems in certain sizes and shapes of sinks.
When the light are off the blue water is absolutely *awesome* and gorgeous, but realistically how often do people use the bathroom in the dark? Overall I would recommend this as a novelty, but warn against expecting too much from it. The blue really isn't as dramatic as the product ad shows.
